Choc chip scones

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 190 Degrees Celsius.

2. In a large bowl sift in flour , baking powder, sugar and salt .

3.Grate the cold butter. Rub in the butter using your finger tips until you get a crumbly texture ( sand like ) .

4. In another bowl whisk in milk ,vanilla and egg together . Then pour to the dry ingredients mixture.

5.Mix the wet and dry ingredients together.

6.Slightly flour your work surface . Transfer the dough to the work surface then gently bring it together.

7. Add the chocolate chips/ chunks to the dough and fold the dough twice and make sure the chocolate is evenly distributed.

6.Shape the dough into a round shape . Cut it out into 8 triangular shapes then slightly brush each piece with an egg white .

Bake for 22-25 minutes or until lightly golden brown on top .

Tip : You can use a round cookie cutter to make the scones round ❤️. They don’t necessarily have to be in a triangular shape
